First off, we’d love to say thank you to all the veterans for their service to our home, the greatest country in the World; the beautiful United States of America. Without you we would not be free, and everybody at Del Rio Lanes is forever grateful to you.

That said, a couple of Bowler of the Week veterans take home their second honor of the year with stellar performances over the past week.

Their scores were not only exceptional, but both in the vicinity of each other as well. For the men we had Luis Meza of Mega Vegas and the Mexican-American Bowlers Assocation’s Stephanie Zavala.

Meza’s average is at 212; but he went 135 pins over it, with a great 771 series, narrowly missing a perfect 300 in the final game. Still, much applause is necessary for Meza.

His scores were:

  • 245
  • 237
  • 289

Would you believe that Zavala’s series was just one pin off from Meza’s? Her average sits at 218, and she rolled a fairly consistent set for 770.

Her scores for the night were:

  • 255
  • 259
  • 256

It doesn’t get any more consistent than that, does it?

Swing by the bowl and get some practice games in so that you’ll come out of the gate striking during your league meeting. Have a great week!
