A brief correction from last week’s article, in that there are only two Bowlers of the Week after today’s announcement. Only two chances more to qualify for the Bowler of the Year tournament January 5 at 1 p.m.!

With that said, let’s get to the excitement of things! Your newest Del Rio Lanes Bowlers of the Week are Jesus Osorio, Sr. of the Mexican-American Bowler’s Association and LaQuila Evans of Vegas Longshots!

For the second straight week, the men’s winner was well decided. Osorio, Sr., averages a 193, but went off in his third game, shooting a 261 to finish the morning with a 728 series, 149 pins over his average. .

His scores were:

  • 239
  • 228
  • 261

Two names that were in the hunt this week were Danny Soler of Jackpot Trios and Paul Morrissey of Good Sports.

The ladies were chasing Evans, who is among the friendliest people you will meet at Del Rio Lanes, period! She is averaging a 96 and is continuing to improve on that every time she hits the lanes. This week she beat her average by 74 pins with her 362 series.

Her scores for the night were:

  • 124
  • 117
  • 121

Coming up just short this week was Bonnie Noland of Good Sports and Tracy Ortega of 9:30 Mass.

Some leagues took a bye because of the Thanksgiving break – which we hope you all enjoyed! Back to work now. Finish the year off on a strong note. Two more announcements before we get ready to crown the Charlie Kinstler and Shirley Kinstler Memorial Bowlers of the Year!
